About Santa Fe High

Santa Fe High School (SFHS) seeks to empower the individual through rigorous academics, career and college readiness and a focus on social skills needed in the 21st century to ensure all students thrive and contribute to the global community.  We offer a diverse curriculum, a wide range of Advanced Placement (AP) courses and dual-credit offerings and a wide-range of elective opportunities. Our curriculum supports the needs of our bilingual and exceptional service students.

SFHS’ AP courses regularly outscore state and national standards. SFHS has more AP offerings than most other schools in New Mexico! Our culinary department runs a small cafe on campus and has won a national competition for its skills. Students have the opportunity to explore engineering and design through a three-year program that ranges from hands-on building to designing using online platforms. In the visual arts, students can explore painting and drawing, crafts and ceramics. Our computer science courses teach more than 5 different programming languages and range from introductory to AP courses. Our theater, dance and music programs hold wildly popular events annually.

Extracurricular programming and club opportunities include computer science, marching and concert band, choir, guitar, orchestra, drama, dance, National Honor Society, Amnesty International, a global movement to end human rights abuses, Science Olympiad, Key Club, which seeks to make the world a better place through service, Speech and Debate Club, Bilingual Club, Student Government, chess, robotics, boxing, yearbook, newspaper and Thespian Club, an honor society for theater students.  Athletic programming includes football, volleyball, girls and boys soccer, cross country, basketball, swimming and diving, track and field and golf, wrestling, tennis, baseball, softball and cheer.

We highly encourage all of our students and families to get involved in our school community. Our parents are our partners as we strive to meet students’ needs.
