We are excited to announce that Santa Fe High School Student Council is now part of the New Mexico Association of Student Councils (NMASC)! 🎉
On October 20, our Student Council leaders attended the NMASC Fall District Conference, hosted by Española High School. During the conference, students explored personal well-being strategies, fostered empathy and compassion for themselves and others, and learned how to become their best inner hero through the HERO acronym! 🌟
🦸♀️ H.E.R.O. — Becoming Your Best Inner Hero
💙 H – Heal Hearts
💛 E – Encourage Myself
💙 R – Raise Expectations
💛 O – Overcome Villains
We are proud of our students for embracing this opportunity to grow as leaders, strengthen their connections with others, and develop the skills they need to make a positive impact in our school and community!

📚 If you know a high schooler who loves to read or loves to talk about big ideas, please help us make sure they know about this event! 📚
On Saturday, October 3rd and Sunday, October 4th, from 10 am to 5 pm, St. John’s College will be giving away free classic books to high school students—including free banned classics as part of National Banned Books Week. The event, called Santa Fe Reads, will take place at The BookMark at St. John’s College, Santa Fe. We’ll be giving away books like Frankenstein, 1984, Brave New World, or Poems, Protest, and a Dream, and students can choose books based on their own interests.* We invite students to come and talk with us about what makes a book classic in the first place, and why some might have been banned for the ideas that they contain.
